Robert Kazinsky Leaves Hobbit Movie For Personal Reasons

Rob Kazinsky Hobbit

The past week couple weeks have generated a lot of excitement about The Hobbit Movie, with the behind the scenes video released by Peter Jackson, as well as set pictures and narration from Ian Mckellen.  Unfortunately, today we have news that should be discouraging to Hobbit fans.

Robert Kazinsky, who was casted to play the role of the dwarf Fili, will be leaving the film for personal reasons.  Here is a release that came from Peter Jackson today:

“I am sad to report that Rob Kazinsky, who was cast in the role of Fili, is having to leave The Hobbit and return home, for personal reasons.  Rob has been terrific to work with and his enthusiasm and infectious sense of humour will be missed by all of us. I should say that Rob’s departure will not affect ongoing filming of The Hobbit, nor will it impact work done to date, as we had yet to film much of Fili’s storyline. At the moment we are shooting scenes featuring Bilbo without the Dwarves, which will give us time to find a new Fili. I’ll keep everyone posted with updates as they come.

Cheers,

Peter J”

Earlier today, Kazinsky confirmed this himself by saying goodbye via his twitter account, saying,

“Thanks for all your support, Peter and team have been the most wonderful and supportive team to work for and it’s with a truly sad heart that things have turned out this way. The Hobbit will go on to be as great as i’ve seen and I will miss the family and friends that i’ve here, From every disaster i’ve tried to make an opportunity. -john d rokerfeller”

Rob will surely be missed and was definitely an exciting part to the Hobbit we were looking for.  We wish him the best in his new pursuits.  The good news is, is that Peter Jackson says Kazinsky’s departure will put no delay on production.  Now, the question, who will fill in as the new Fili?  Discuss your reccomendations in our forum.

    What could possibly happen that you would pass up the opportunity to be in this film?

    Simply have Orlando Bloom go to town with the Fili character. Connect him with another set of costumes and go to town with the make-up. Allow Orlando Bloom to crank out a double-header. He is already a member of the Tolkien films family directed by Peter Jackson. At the sametime he returns as Legolas where we recognize him more; chances include {Mirkwood, Rivendale, and the battle scene.} In his possible role as Fili he would work on voice characterization, sound for another character, and oral interpretation. Other actors have camouflaged their appearances with other roles. Not only a double-header for the fans. But, Peter Jackson would not have to mold or form a new acting director relationship with a new actor.

    Pardon me Rivendell. Too excited. Release The Hobit now. The thrill of suspense, and the agony of anticipation. Relating to {The thrill of victory and the agony of defeat.}
