Peter Jackson Surgery Delays Hobbit Production

It’s been bankruptcy, film location rights, union labor protests, departing directors, and studio disagreements that have all been factors at one point of delaying the highly anticipated Hobbit Movies. You can chalk up another one.  Peter Jackson emergency surgery.

That’s right, after experiencing on going stomach pains, Peter Jackson was taken to the hospital and underwent surgery for a perforated ulcer.  According to Jackson’s publicist, the director will make a full recovery, but the side effect will be yet another delay in filming.  Some are beginning to think that this film is cursed and is not supposed to be made.

Peter Jackson was in the middle of locking down filming locations for The Hobbit when he was struck with the illness.  Shooting was suppose to begin next month, but will now be pushed back a bit further.  We wish the best for Sir Peter and hope for a speedy recovery and a quick return to Middle Earth!
