Peter Jackson is Doing Well and is Set to Resume Soon
After being taken to the hospital for emergency surgery, Peter Jackson is recovering and doing well. The Hobbit Director was taken into surgery after suffering from continual stomach pains, which was due to a perforated ulcer. He is set to remain in a New Zealand hospital for a couple more days for recovery.
Monday morning, Melissa Booth (Jackson’s publicist), said that Jackson is doing well, but needed to remain in the hospital for a couple more days. He is in stable condition in the Intensive Care Unit.
Doctors expect Jackson to make a full recovery.
Fans of The Hobbit are getting anxious for a forward move in production, as it seems that delay after delay has plagued production. We are hopeful this is indeed the last major stumbling block to moving the films forward and the release date is still on schedule…for now.
